   When I started City Gold and Diamonds (CGD) at Kasaragod in 1999, my dream was to turn it into a brand that consistently delights the customer with excellence and innovation. Twenty years later, the satisfaction on our customers’ face speaks it all.
CGD is one of India’s foremost jewellery brands with several branches in Kerala and Karnataka.

     Started in 1999, singlehandedly by K.A. Abdul Kareem, City Gold & Diamonds today has conquered newer heights with its delicate collection of jewellery and humble customer care. We offer customers an array of jewellery products that are best in quality and craftsmanship. Having a deep understanding of local tastes and preferences, City Gold & Diamonds presents different jewellery designs from traditional to contemporary across gold, diamonds, platinum, silver, and others. We are a brand of ever expanding inspiration and expansive vision. We at CGD have always put our customers at first and believe they are right.It was in the year 2016, we revamped City Gold into City Gold & Diamonds. The transformation was stimulated from the constant demand of our loyal customers and team members. We re-entered with a new brand logo coupled with a tempting corporate color theme that connect with the customers. Today we have five showrooms spread across Kerala and Karnataka in Kasargod, Uppala, Kanhangad, Puttur, and Mangalore. We are one of India’s foremost luxury jewellery brands that stands for innovative and consummate craftsmanship. For Kareemcha (K.A Abdul Kareem), as we call him, not only did he want to offer his people the best in jewellery, he also wanted to do his best and give back to society.

   JANAKEEYAM - means humane, personal, devoted, and one with people and for the people. To convert a shop into a brand and then to a JANAKEEYA BRAND is not just a mere process, and we have succeeded in the same.
It was in the year 1999, a jewellery brand named City Gold set up shop in the fast growing shopping hub Kasargod. Aligning pitch-perfect to the regional throb of Kasargod, we are inspired by the passion towards jewellery making and continue to keep the excellence throughout our endeavor. Rooted on a strong foundation underpinned in scrupulous business ethics and brand policy, we at CGD always place our customers at first. Being a firm believer of Dharma, doing our bit for society is paramount to us. Wherefore, it comes with no surprise that we are called as a JANAKEEYA BRAND. In our 20 years since inception, we have been constantly with the people and for the people.
    A brand, like a tree, develops certain changes as it evolves and spreads its branches as a part of its growth structure. City Gold & Diamonds now has five showrooms spread across Kerala and Karnataka.     Observing the contemporary trend and style incorporated by business houses as a part of their brand engineering strategy, CGD too focused on revamping its corporate identity. We wanted a logo that sounds alike to its brand policies and shares same nostalgia of its homeland. After days of discussion and research, we zeroed in on something that reflects brand’s commitment towards its customers, and its strength, reliability, existence, beauty, stability, and obviously global connectivity.
